June 12, 2017

Most kids love to play outside in the summer. However, during a typical hot Arkansas summer there will inevitably be a few days that are simply too hot to enjoy outdoors. Parents, nannies and babysitters will often find themselves in need of an impromptu, screen-free activity to entertain these housebound youngsters.

Time to break out the tabletop games.

Got some kids to entertain this summer? Game Goblins is here to help. We have a wide selection of games specifically for little goblin players. Get ready for hot summer days by stocking up on some of our latest tabletop games for kids.

Here are a few games your kids might enjoy.

1. My Little Pony: Tales of Equestria

Entertaining My Little Pony enthusiasts or imaginative little storytellers? Check out My Little Pony: Tales of Equestria. Start with the story and go on an adventure. This game is great for the hot Arkansas summer when your little gamers are stuck inside. Turn a boring day in the house into an adventure.

This role playing game is all about friendship, overcoming obstacles and learning more about the magical world of Equestria. All you need to play is this book, a writing utensil and paper.

2. Hamster Clan

Got a younger audience to entertain this summer? Hamster Clan is designed by Haba for players ages 4 and up. The game takes about 10 minutes to play and can be played with up to 4 players.

This cooperative game is all about working together. Each player plays the part of a hamster storing provisions for winter. The board offers a variety of challenges and moving parts to keep the game interesting for players of all ages.

3. Fantastic Gymnastics

Looking for a tabletop game that is just simply, fascinating? Check out Fantastic Gymnastics. See if you can get the gymnast to stick the perfect landing by landing on his feet, or on the mat. To play you press a button to spin the gymnast around the bar. Press a different button to release when you think he is at the perfect angle and speed to make an Olympic-worthy landing.

Fantastic Gymnastics is designed for players 8 years of age or older, but there is no age limit on watching. Chances are, your younger kiddos will be fascinated enough by just watching this fun dexterity game. Take turns and see who can make the best landing.

At Game Goblins, we featured this game as a display in our store. Players of all ages were interested. It’s one of those simple, challenging games that is just fun to play.

We often have new and popular games on display in our store for our customers to check out. Stop by our location at 1121 South Bowman Rd. and see what we have on display today.

4. Castle Flutterstone

Do your kids need a little extra challenge when it comes to tabletop games? Castle Flutterstone is a fascinating dexterity game involving bats, ghosts and—of course—a castle.

This dexterity game is a little tricky. It is only recommended for players ages 6 and up. In order to advance on the board you need to use the launcher to land a felt bat in the right places. It might take your kids a few minutes to get the hang of it. Only 2-4 players can play at a time and each round should take about 20 minutes.
