ENTER JOSH, THE DM OF ARKANSAS GAMING RETAIL
Imagine a desolate, urban landscape. Devoid of gaming stores. This was the Little Rock of recent times. An unlikely hero emerged, a man called Josh. “At the time, it had been years since Little Rock had a tabletop gaming store, and we felt the city needed one.”
STARTER DECKS
On Friday, April 20 2012, the original Game Goblins launched. “When you take a risk and open a new business, you really have no idea if people will show up,” Josh reminisces. Other tabletop retailers had come and gone…what would be the fate of this most recent venture? “The first night we opened the store was packed. People were playing and having a good time. The community was there all along: We just had to give them the opportunity to come together.”
LEVELING UP
In 2015, Game Goblins expanded to our current location on Bowman Road. At 6,000 square feet, this spot is 3x larger than our previous evolutionary form. We’ve grown into the largest independent retailer of board games, Magic: The Gathering, and Games Workshops in the state. Game Goblins also holds the record for the three largest Magic: The Gathering events ever held in the State of Arkansas, and we’ve recently been honored with Wizards Play Network’s Premium Store designation!
